VILLA D, an ode to nature
In a world where everything moves so quickly, the garden is a refuge, a haven of peace for our customers. It is the perfect example of the beauty and tranquility that nature can offer us.
At Villa D, we entrusted landscape designer Valentin Green and his team with the task of staging nature’s spectacle and the theater of his desires. The project was designed as a whole to offer our clients lush gardens and dry gardens while respecting the local terroir and the environment.
Working closely with Majd, the owner of the house, Valentin drew inspiration from the initial design by Studio KO: “Together, we redesigned each garden to complement the existing landscape without disturbing the balance of the vegetation. ”
In just six months, Valentin and his team, a green army of 15 enthusiasts, succeeded in completely remodeling the outdoor spaces of Villa D.
Today, guests can fully appreciate the bucolic garden, where relaxation and dining areas blend beautifully with the delicate variations of plants chosen by Valentin. Blooming white roses and dense beds of fragrant, aromatic, and medicinal plants combine to bring rhythm and lightness to the garden. Ponds bring the garden to life and become a gathering place for frogs and birds, while allowing you to enjoy the crystal-clear sound of water.
In line with the pool and the magnificent view of the Atlas Mountains, the dry garden stretches over more than two hectares. You will be charmed by its clean, sculptural, and voluminous lines as well as by the softness of the plants chosen by Valentin. Indeed, a bold choice between the beautiful existing palm trees, exceptional agaves, aloe vera trees, and the addition of olive trees that dominate the collections of grasses, some of which are endemic to the sand dunes.
A unique tableau of nature that blends seamlessly with the walls of Villa D and lends the place a poetic quality, allowing Majd to give free rein to his imagination when designing your events.
The Farmhouse also needed its own haven of peace to offer our guests the ideal setting for precious moments of relaxation. Olive trees, white rose bushes, and aromatic plants surround a wooden deck and a stream fed by recycled water from the well. A green paradise where you can take a nap in complete tranquility.
A lot of work has also been done in terms of lighting: all LED to offer elegance and subtlety and encourage nighttime strolls. Rediscover the magic of the different gardens in the evening and don’t miss the sunsets, a spectacle worthy of fireworks.
As you will have understood, Villa D offers a signature green space that showcases the Moroccan terroir (all the trees and plants come from Morocco) and the expertise of the fellahs (local farmers), while also promoting innovation in order to protect the environment.
As we are located in an arid area, we have installed an automatic watering system, which is more economical and allows us to balance water usage and well supply. In the future, we are working on a gray water recycling project to enable constant use in the gardens.
Our guests can see this eco-friendly approach in our vegetable garden, where we mix vegetable and herb planting with forage crops and animals (grasses and cereals).
In a revolutionary innovation, we have also chosen to use Polyter, an organic granule that acts as a water retainer, helping plants to better withstand water stress and therefore grow much better.
The gardens at Villa D add a whole new dimension to your experience. During your stay, enjoy the natural benefits of aromatic plants, whether during a cooking or mixology workshop or as part of your wellness experience.
Between architecture and nature, Villa D reveals its full potential and transforms into a green and elegant haven of peace.
